First of all, I really love these two people.  My brother is a funny, smart, loyal and loveable guy.  My sister-in-law is sweet, quirky, God-loving and so fun to be with.  I am blessed that these two favorite people of mine are married to each other.  My brother gave me one of my closest friends!

My brother and his wife danced their first wedding dance to Louis Armstrong’s What A Wonderful World almost 17 years ago.  It was a beautiful choice.

The 2012 wedding season is officially in full swing!   On a beautiful Saturday in April, I made my way to Pensacola Beach for the wedding of Brittney & Ryan.  Have I mentioned lately how much I love living in Florida and shooting weddings on the beach?  Brittney & Ryan decided to take the majority of their photos prior to the ceremony, so we staged a "First Look" for them to see each other for the first time.

I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, like a bride adorned in readiness for her husband. (Rev 21:2)

This Bible passage is striking.  The images are bright and clear in my mind. I was talking about imagination to a friend the other day. I have a vivid one and I think it’s because I am a very visual person. I like to look at images and this doesn’t stop when I close my eyes.

People in the world care too much about looks and appearances – it’s what’s on the inside that really matters.  However, I know it is a good thing that I want to look beautiful for my husband.  When I pretty myself for my husband, I see the bride adorned readying herself for her bridegroom, and I am that bride once again.
